Bunker Babes - Yowzer!

I was checking out some fellow golf sites and came upon MJ on Golf and he turned me onto Bunker Babes at Nice little diversion from the hum drum life of golf. It's a veritable visual feast for the guys (and maybe for some of the women - not that there's anything wrong with that). Oh yeah, it also has something on there about golf but I'm not sure what it is, I was a little distracted!

The US Golf Association is Getting Soft in it's Old Age

Wow! Golf is going high tech little by little and sometimes alot by alot. Now the USGA is allowing new fangled laser pointers to get your yardages. But really folks, do you need to spend that much money to find out how far you are from the flag. Most courses have the distances marked well enough where you wouldn't need this. Of course, if you land your ball two fairways over it might come in handy but then you probably couldn't see the flag stick and I believe you need line of sight for these things to work. Oh well! Just hit them straight and you won't have to worry. If you want to see a picture of one go to The Raw Feed blog, they have a good one there.

On the Lighter Side of Golf

"I think I can play this hole in 2" a cocky golfer told his caddie. "All it'll take is a long drive and a putt." He then proceeded to top his shot so that his "long drive" ended up going only about five feet. At this, his caddie handed him a putter and remarked, "now for one heck of a putt."

Is Stuart Appleby on the Juice?

I may be way off base here but it seems to me that Stuart is looking rather buff these days. Now I've heard that he works out almost as much as Tiger does but he's only roughly 5'10" and has driven the ball on occassion 400 yds. He just looks to me a little more pumped up then most of the tour players and in my book where there's smoke there's usually fire. I hope I'm wrong but I just can't get that nagging feeling out of my head when I see him on TV, he looks somewhat like Sosa and McQuire did in baseball. Maybe it's time for the tour to have steroid tests. It's just a matter of time (if it hasn't happened already) before some tour player feeling the pressure of trying to keep his card and trying to keep up with the big hitters on these courses that keep getting longer and longer succombs to the temptation.

Remember you heard it here first! Steroid use is coming!

Gotta Love Freddy!

If you want a blow by blow description of what happened at The President's Cup go to the PGA site. I just want to say that I'm so glad Fred Couples made that put on 18. Especially since he was a Captain's pick. It was good to see him be relative again.
